Story:On a hot summer day, the spirits of a young fire, consumed with hunger, moved fast through the trees. As the fire spirits travelled across the mountain they were watched by a Sacred Woman of the Water as a mother might watch a child. She knew the great rage of destruction that lived in the heart of the young fire and called the water from the sky to calm the growing hunger. This is the way of the natural world; water grows the food, fire eats at the great mountain table and new growth rejuvenates the land. Everything is connected.
