Custer’s Saddle

Story: I wonder what Custer horse might have experienced as an army has laid siege to a defenceless village at Wounded Knee. What did he see, what did he know. Long after the slaughter, the saddle that carried the monster into such savagery would disintegrate into the Earth, returning to its original state, leaving only a blood echo in the stones among the descendants of Wounded Knee.
